When the Englishman, Earl Charles Grey, brought a tea flavoured with bergamot back from a trip to China, this tea was soon enjoying great popularity – and Earl Grey tea was born. For Meßmer Earl Grey, our tea experts have blended selected black teas enhanced with the typical character of the bergamot citrus fruit to create a freshly piquant moment of enjoyment.
Water temperature
Bring fresh water to the boil and pour it straight from the kettle over the tea.
Brewing time
Let the tea draw for 3-5 minutes so the full taste develops and you have a safe food product.
